Close by we have attractions such as the Highland Wildlife Park and The Highland Folk Museum, both of which are located on the outskirts of Kingussie.
Heading south to Newtonmore and the surrounding area there are many outdoor pursuits and breathtaking scenery to explore. Amongst the most popular with visitors is the Golf Club, situated 1/4 mile from the hotel, where you can enjoy a round of Golf whilst seeing some of Newtonmore's spectacular views.
For those who enjoy walking, we have the wildcat trail, with it's many routes throughout Newtonmore and beyond. This is also great for children as there are now over 200 model wildcats around the village that you can tick off in your pack that can be purchased from the wildcat centre on the Main Street in Newtonmore. It's a great way to enjoy the outdoors in our beautiful highland village.
Travelling further south you can venture towards Fort William, en route you will pass Nevis Range, an all year round mountain and ski resort. Nevis Range boasts Britain’s only mountain gondola which transports you 650 meters to the slopes of Aonach Mor where you can meander along the trails and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Fort William’s setting is dramatic, on the shore of Loch Linnhe, and under the mighty hulk of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. There is a footpath to the top of the mountain starting close to the town.
